The Spanish Steps is a famous outdoor staircase located in Rome, Italy, that leads from Piazza di Spagna to the Trinità dei Monti Church. The stairs are called "Spanish" after the square. The square is home to the Spanish Embassy of the Holy See, after which the square is named.
