Summary:
Following a Mediterranean-type diet can delay the onset of Parkinson’s disease by up to 17.4 years for women and 8.4 years for men, according to a study conducted by researchers at the University of British Columbia.
While there is no cure for Parkinson’s disease, the Mediterranean and MIND diets, which include extra virgin olive oil, vegetables, seafood, pulses, and wine, have been shown to potentially delay the onset of the disease.
