Beef is an excellent source of zinc and contains more than twice the amount of iron compared to pork and chicken, nearly three times more folate than pork, and 50 percent more potassium than pork and light chicken meat.
Beef is also rich in DPA, a type of omega-3 fatty acid known as docosapentaenoic acid.

Beef contains plenty of DPA, a type of omega-3 fatty acid known as clupadonic acid.
Of the saturated fatty acids found in Finnish beef, palmitic acid and stearic acid are present in the highest proportions and amounts. The proportion of palmitic acid is 28–31 percent, and that of stearic acid is 16–19 percent.

Health Effects: A U.S. study published in 2024 found that people who eat beef are less likely than usual to have deficiencies in protein, copper, zinc, thiamine, folate, and vitamin B12. Numerous studies have been published on the statistical relationships between meat consumption and mortality or morbidity, but none have specifically examined the health effects of beef consumption.

Proteins consist of a total of 20 different amino acids, ten of which the human body cannot produce on its own and must be obtained from food. Amino acids serve as building blocks in tissue and enzyme proteins as well as in many hormones and neural transmitters. Protein contains 17 kJ (4 kcal) of energy per gram.
Excess protein is not stored, but is converted into fat in the body.

Mikä on hemoglobiini?
Hemoglobiinin taso veressä on tärkeä terveyden indikaattori.

Mikä on ferritiini?
Ferritiini on elimistön raudan varastoproteiini, jonka pitoisuutta veressä pidetään rautavarastojen mittarina. Veren alhainen ferritiinipitoisuus voi johtaa raudanpuuteanemiaan. Raudanpuutteen yleisimpiä oireita ovat väsymys ja suorituskyvyn lasku.
