You can support skin health through your diet.

Certain nutrients play a role in tasks such as maintaining the skin's structure and protecting its cells.

Vitamin C is essential for the formation of collagen.
- E.g., kiwi, citrus fruits, bell peppers, broccoli

Antioxidants help protect cells.

Omega-3 fatty acids
- Chia seeds and flaxseeds
Chia seeds also contain zinc, which contributes to skin renewal.

Dark green vegetables and herbs
- Spinach, kale, arugula, parsley, and cilantro contain many vitamins and other beneficial compounds.

Protein sources
- Eggs, chicken, tofu, beans, and other legumes.
The amino acids found in protein are needed to build skin structures.

Oily fish
- Salmon
Omega-3 fatty acids support the function of the skin's protective barrier.

Berries
- Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries contain antioxidants and polyphenols that help protect cells.

Fresh herbs
Don't be shy about using mint, oregano, parsley, and cilantro in your cooking.

Green vegetable juices can be enjoyed daily or a few times a week.

A varied diet supports skin health.
