Proteins are made up of a total of 20 different amino acids, ten of which the human body can't produce on its own and must get from food. Amino acids act as building blocks in tissue and enzyme proteins as well as in many hormones and neurotransmitters. Protein has 17 kJ (4 kcal) of energy per gram.
Excess protein isn't stored; instead, it gets converted into fat in the body.

Cottage cheese
In cottage cheese, besides protein, there’s calcium needed for bones, B vitamins, iodine, phosphorus, and selenium.
Sailor’s Beef SiriSiri
Beef is a good source of protein and also contains zinc, iron, selenium, phosphorus, magnesium, and B vitamins. Beef contains a significant amount of DPA, or clupanodonic acid, which is used in omega-3 fatty acids.
