Sailor’s Beef SiriSiri
Ingredients:
• Rapeseed oil
• Yellow onions
• Red onions
• Carrot slices
• Bell pepper
• Black pepper and/or whole allspice
• 2–3 bay leaves
• Salt
• Potatoes (thinly sliced)
• Seared beef slices
• Good-quality beer (for liquid)

Instructions:
1. Sauté the yellow onions, red onions, and carrot slices in rapeseed oil until softened.
2. Add the bell pepper and season with black pepper and/or whole allspice, bay leaves, and salt to taste.
3. In an oven dish, layer the potato slices, seared beef slices, and sautéed vegetables. Finish with a top layer of potatoes.
4. Pour in enough good-quality beer to just cover the ingredients.
5. Bake in a 180°C (350°F) oven for about 1.5 hours, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is nicely browned.
